Peter Cullen -- hermit-crab leader, tough cat
Jim Cummings -- Monterey Jack, male fish, Robespierre
Tress MacNeille -- female fish
Notes:
Lead hermit crab a voice parody of WC Fields.
Mild parody of Chip's orderliness (he's so organized that he has everything
down on schedule -- even time for fun -- and builds sand castle using a
blue print). Leans a bit too heavily towards obsession for my taste.
Dale gets a chance to lead and all too soon discovers his limitations
-- as in "It's a Bird" he has a confession-type scene where he realizes
that his true place is as "just" a RR.
Fat Cat's scheme smacks of Noodles Romanoff / Jay Ward type. Here
he seems more interested in controlling other cats (a la "Fish & Ships")
thru controlling fish supply than in simply enriching himself.
[Slight continuity problem. Chip asks Monty, "How would you feel if
you lost your home?", but in "To the Rescue", that's exactly what happened,
and Chip was there!
Snout's only real major scene is here. Sometimes he isn't seen with
the others at all, such as "Robocat" and "Battle of the Bulge". -- MP]
