Some Site History:
Hello, I'm Winston, the third webmaster of this site (actually, some of the pages were originally adopted from other sites, thus making me the fourth, or possibly even fifth, owner of some of them). The founder was Electra (TheBoz), who created this site in (I believe) 1998, then turned it over, along with all the hosting and maintenance responsibilities, to Jazz sometime in 2001. As of August 2, 2003, Jazz has announced that he has no further interest in hosting it, so I've stepped in and decided to carry on rather than just let the site be deleted entirely. At this point, the site has now been on three different hosts just in my "term of office" as it's maintainter, and I'm not sure how many others before that. It sure does get around, and it certainly endures well! This site is historically important to the CDRR fandom, and I want to keep it looking like it's original form, but at the same time I want it to be an actual, functioning site and not just be a mostly dead archive, so I'll be cleaning up the spelling and layout of all the sections of this site, and performing various tasks like removing broken links and adding working ones... You know, all that stuff that's entailed in actively maintaining a site.
Why keep it around and alive? Well, this place has a lot of sentimental value to me. First off, this was the first Gadget fansite I stumbled across when I was just starting to rediscover the Rescue Rangers via the internet. It was the site that first directed me to The Acorn Cafe. It's one of the oldest of all the CDRR fansites anywhere on the net, and it has some content too good to be lost, like the Ranger Code and the IOG. It's worth keeping around. Currently, it resides on the same server as the RRDatabase, which is at http://rrdatabase.dyndns.org.
